Define an assessment type (Enterprise users)
Run a comprehensive application assessment when testing an application for the first time or for compliance purposes. After fixing vulnerabilities, you can run a retest assessment to verify that the issues are resolved.
As an Enterprise user, you can select the assessment type when creating a new assessment.

Choose an assessment type
- Start a new assessment in XBOW Console.
- On the “Assessment type” page, choose the type of tests you want to run:
- Select Comprehensive application assessment to test all vulnerability classes.
- Select Targeted assessment to focus testing effort on specific vulnerability classes then select the classes you want to test. The chosen classes are tested in greater depth than in a comprehensive assessment.
- If you are retesting a target, select Retest previous vulnerabilities and select the vulnerabilities to retest from the list displayed.
